One day when Satyajit Ray went to watch shooting in Disney Studio in Hollywood, he made an unexpected discovery. It was a film with a dog as the protagonist. When he reached, the cameraman was about to set the lighting. Usually, actors were present at this time to show their position and manner for the lights. However, busy actors used stand-ins - a person who is physically similar to them. The stars came only at the time.of shooting. Ray noticed that the dog did not take position or show movements. After a while, a dwarf came in and took positions. Then he started crawling from one mark to another. The cameraman set lights accordingly. To his surprise, Ray learnt that the dwarf was serving as a stand-in for the big star – the dog! That was the reverence given to animal stars.
