Some of your friends in class discussion, have said that keeping animals in captivity either in circus or zoos should be banned completely. They say it is cruelty to animals. Do you agree with their view? Write a paragraph explaining your view on the matter.

An animal is also “born free but everywhere in chains”. But these are the chains we, the humans make. Now, people are becoming more aware of the need to stop cruelty against animals. Captivity is a crime against animals. We should not keep them in cages or use them simply for our entertainment. Therefore, caging and using them in circuses should be banned completely. At the same time, it is advisable to protect animals in wild parks where their natural habitat is preserved. That will protect many species from extinction. In addition, it will be helpful for us to study them. To summarize, keeping animals in protected areas of natural habitats without caging them is a legitimate practice.
