Sample E-mail - planning to perform on Children's day

You are planning to perform a programme in children’s day celebrations in your school.

Write an e-mail to your friend about it

In your email, you should:

  • Say what you are going to perform
  • Tell him/her why you decided to do it
  • Ask for a help for it from your friend.
  • Your email should be between 150 and 200 words long

    Dear Somy,

What’s up? Are you shaken up? No worries, you will come up next time with flying colours, [A1] as they say, I’m sure. I couldn't take out time for lunch. Busy with practice

Do you know? [A2] At last I’ve decided to go with your advice. This shy bird [A3] is going to perform your favourite item on our children’s day. Yes, that music fusion which you like most. Monica miss [A4] made some changes. Don’t worry! Your all-time best rhythm is still there. But I dropped its last line. Like a tongue twister! You know, I can’t take a risk at last!

Last week mom and I went to grandpa’s house. The usual thing, a family get together. Karan was there. You know his ways; [A5] he wants me to sing whenever we meet. I can’t resist his demand too. So, I sang at last. Somy, don’t get green eyed [A6]. Everyone was amazed and grandpa has given me a box of chocolate. That moment I decided. No more choice on children’s day!

Actually I searched for an album song on the internet. But no way! Could you do one thing, I think Sameera has a CD. Can you collect it and share the track on my google drive. Oops! I forgot, I want your camera also. Dad will come on Sunday. My lazy minion, [A7]don’t forget. I will be in hot pot [A8]

It’s time I went! Let me leave. My designer is waiting for me. Catch you later. Take care

    With love,

    Annie.
